These are quick thoughts or rather questions based on the pre-course video.

The issue of "taking ownership" brought up by Jim Groom is upfront in my mind.

A lot of the tools and technology being shared by language teachers come from closed, proprietary sources.

Issues of what happens to the data that our students hand over need to be weighed up. Are students aware of what happens?

How can we check whether a tool fits with our ideas of what is right?

How can language teachers use tools such as Smallest Federated Wiki?

If teachers ask me why I use PirateBox to share files rather than say Dropbox how can I explain this without glazing their eyes over!?
